Welcome to RPCS® 2015! RPCS is a powerful software tool that helps you manage your accounts quickly and efficiently so you can collect money faster.

Overview

RPCS is comprised of one large database that holds all the accounts and their corresponding information, regardless of their collection.

When each account enters RPCS, whether entered manually or electronically, it is assigned to a desk. A desk can be a physical location or simply a way to segment and organize accounts in a logical way. For example, if you think of a desk as being like a filing cabinet, each drawer can represent a desk. Within each drawer there may be many papers stored in groups within different file folders. These file folders can represent accounts that are active, that have been sent to support, or that are on a payment plan. RPCS stores accounts and their corresponding information, regardless of their collection status.

RPCS uses several tests to determine which desk to assign the account to, and places the account in that desk’s Collector file (CF file). The CF file contains a subset of accounts considered active, or accounts currently being worked by a collector, or a group of collectors. Attribute 10 of the account record stores the information about which desk the account is assigned to.

When an account is sent from a collection desk to a support desk, the record is not moved from its current CF file to the CF file of the support desk; instead, a copy of the record is created and added to the CF file of the support desk. A link remains between the two records until the time it is returned from support to its original desk or moved to a new desk.
